Triton Wind Profiler

There are so many unknowns when you plan a wind project wind conditions at turbine height shouldn't be one of them. Triton sonic wind profiler measures the winds up to and above the turbine's blade sweep . . . no towers required! Triton can be rapidly deployed and redeployed. Its low profile means no permitting in most locations. Learn more about Triton and how it can accelerate your project. SPECIFICATIONS AT A GLANCE More accurate data. A patented hexagonal speaker array focuses sound beams more effectively than previous designs, which improves signal-to-noise ratio accuracy and decreases disruption. The array is housed in a tri-lobed acoustic enclosure, which reduces the chance of sound artifacts disrupting data. Overall Triton correlation to met towers is about 98%, without echo correction. Unattended use in any location. With a power consumption of less than 10 Watts, one or two solar panels and battery can provide adequate power for the Triton system to operate indefinitely, depending on available sunlight. Bundled with Skyserve satellite wind data service, the Triton profiler delivers accurate wind data to any computer from virtually any location. Ready-to-read data. Unlike previous sodar products, Triton delivers easily understood data that is similar to data from conventional meteorological towers. The SkyServe satellite data service displays, archives, and processes your data via the web. Works in any weather. Triton is made of rugged plastic with stainless steel components and sound absorbing material that functions when wet, unlike foam. Triton has withstood rain, ice, and harsh winter conditions.  We offer an optional ice/snow module to keep Triton ice-free for winter operation. More portable and less obtrusive. At six feet tall with a six foot by four foot base, Triton will fit in the bed of a full-sized pickup truck, or can be towed in a trailer. The system has internal controls to compensate for uneven ground, and a built-in GPS and compass identify the time and location of data as it’s captured. Compact 6' x 6' x 4' (2 m x 2 m x 1.25m) footprint fits in a pickup truck Weight: Under 1000 lbs (454 kg) Power consumption: 10 W On-board sensor suite for position, orientation, incline, temperature, and humidity Standard configuration provides wind measurements at 40, 60, and every 20 meters up to 200m (depending on environmental conditions). RENT A TRITON
Do you want to seek for the best place to install a wind turbine? Don't worry. You don't have to buy a Triton if you have a small project, now you can RENT one . For more informations about this service contact us at sales@wpe.ro
EASY TO CARRY
Triton is easy to deploy. In most cases, Triton is receiving, transmitting, and storing data the same day it is installed.
CUM FUNCTIONEAZA ?
Triton uses sonic detection and ranging (sodar) to remotely gather data about wind. Triton works by sending out acoustic pulses (beeps or shots) and then listening for the return signal. Characteristics of the return signal are analyzed to gain information about wind speed, direction, and turbulence.Let's say you're doing site assessment for a project and the hub height of your turbines is 80 meters. The blades will sweep an arch that extends 120 meters high. An anemometer on a 60-meter tilt-up mast is only going to be measuring 20% of the swept area.By contrast, Triton is smaller and much easier to install than a met tower, and captures reliable data from 100% of the swept area.
